News contents:  The news of deplorable condition of Seti Beni Trail Bridge over Seti River in Parbat District is published in Kantipur Daily on 22nd September, 2008.

Action Status:  The deplorable condition of this bridge was known well before.  The ownership and accordingly responsibility for the rehabilitation of this bridge lies on the DDC.  Trail Bridge Section of DoLIDAR has already requested DDC Parbat for immediate rehabilitation of this bridge.  DDC Parbat is executing design works for rehabilitation with technical support of TBSU/Helvetas Nepal.  TBS/DoLIDAR and TBSU will pursue with the DDC for initiation and completion of rehabilitation work within the current fiscal year.

The news mentioned that wire rope of the bridge is likely to break and needs replacement at the earliest.
